Governor-Elect Matt Bevin selected John Chilton to be State Budget Director on Tuesday, December 1st.
Chilton is the current Business Competitiveness Committee Co-Chair for GLI. In his tenure of leadership, he has worked to make Greater Louisville more attractive to business investment on a global scale.
Following his appointment, Chilton announced that he is stepping down from his post on the Business Competitiveness Committee for Greater Louisville Inc. Tom Luber of Wyatt, Tarrant and Combs will be taking his place as co-chair, serving alongside Jim Dahlem of Dahlem Enterprises.
Chilton previously served as GLI’s Co-Chair of the Tax & Fiscal Policy Committee. He is a founding partner of Mountjoy, Chilton and Medley CPAs and Advisors. The firm focuses on business valuation, business acquisition and reorganization, along with domestic and international taxes.
The State Budget Director role requires expertise in analysis and research to advise the governor on matters involving policy, budget and economic issues facing the Commonwealth.
